I hadn't even noticed that the stock had basically climbed back to where it was before the drop.

Is there one drug in particular that you think could be a blockbuster?  Or do you think most of the drugs in their pipeline have a strong chance of doing well?

Nice 20% jump.

According to CNBC, Twitter has "...received expressions of interest from several technology or media companies and may receive a formal bid shortly.  The potential suitors include Google and Salesforce.com, among other technology companies, sources said."

Yes, pancreatic cancer is a tough one to crack and I was definetly the cause of CCXI to take a dive in the market.  However, I think with their deep pipeline of other drugs and the progression they are getting with those, this stock will take off in the next year or two.  I think since you last posted it has come up almost to the level it was before the 20% drop-off.  Here's to hoping for a bright future for CCXI.  By the way I still think there is a lot of upside for this company and could be an interesting buy at $5/share or below.

At this point i'm not really sure.  There is a lot of buzz out there that there will be a deal in place with someone before the end of the year.  That gossip and talk is causing the stock to creep up even higher.  It had another 20% increase so far today.  As of right now it has been a good stock pick for me and I think once Twitter is sold in the next year or two I should have myself a very nice return on this investment.

Is this a reaction to the initial results announced by the company regarding the Ongoing Phase Ib Clinical Trial of CCX872 in Patients with Advanced Pancreatic Cancer?

Well, Twitter's turned out to be a good stock pick so far.   

The stock got another nice bump today after co-founder Ev Williams said that the company has to consider M&A.

It seems like most of the price action in the last couple of months has been due to takeover speculation.  The Q2 2016 results were a slight improvement for Twitter (company still losing money on a GAAP basis, but Monthly Active Users slightly increased both domestically and internationally).  However, this slight improvement doesn't justify the run up in stock price.

It will be interesting to see if Twitter gets a takeover offer.  Mark P, who do you think would want to acquire Twitter?
